# TikTok troubleshooting

## A campaign was created but nothing is spending

Expected. Every TikTok object Concord creates lands disabled. Ask Concord to enable the campaign, the ad group, and the ad.

## I asked to archive something and it was paused instead

That is deliberate. On TikTok, a delete is permanent through the API and cannot be undone programmatically, so Concord treats archive, stop, and remove as pause. If you genuinely want a permanent delete, say so explicitly — Concord will confirm before submitting.

## A location came back with no match

Two causes:

* **An abbreviation.** Search a full place name or a two-letter country code. `Germany`, `DE`, and `Deutschland` all resolve; `GER` deliberately returns nothing rather than risking the wrong country.
* **The advertiser cannot target it.** Targetable countries differ per advertiser. Concord reports that rather than substituting a neighbouring country.

## Targeting was accepted but the campaign targets the wrong country

Read the resolved location names Concord echoes back before you approve. They are there for exactly this.

## A new audience cannot be targeted yet

A freshly created TikTok audience needs up to 48 hours to process. Concord will tell you it is not yet valid.

## An audience cannot be edited

TikTok does not support editing a saved audience, and custom audience members cannot be changed — only the name. Create a new audience with the change.

## A creative edit was rejected

Editing a field outside the patchable set (call to action, landing page URL) forces a full creative replace, which a Spark ad's identity rules can reject. Make that edit in TikTok Ads Manager.

## A Smart+ ad cannot be created

Smart+ ads have not been successfully created through TikTok's API. Build the ad in TikTok Ads Manager; the campaign and ad group can still be built in Concord.

## A metric is missing from a report

Check [TikTok management](/integrations/tiktok/tiktok-management#reporting) — some metrics TikTok exposes are not wired into Concord yet, and some are not available from the API at all. The page distinguishes the two.

## A report is missing rows on a large account

TikTok truncates synchronous reports to the most recent 20,000 ads. Narrow the request to specific campaigns or ad groups.
